This project aims to only ship vanilla Chromium OS developed by Google and the Chromium Authors, ported to the world's favourite single-board computer - the Raspberry Pi platform. This project is about Chromium OS for Raspberry Pi, not FydeOS for You - Raspberry Pi 400, also not openFyde. There are Chromium OS for Raspberry Pi, openFyde that happens to boot on Raspberry Pi and FydeOS for You - Raspberry Pi 400, these are different releases. I have one week to make this happen or I go buy cable and string the line out the back window from the Satellite receiver to a TV.TL DR: (in FAQ format) What's this, is this FydeOS? The most recent reference I can find to getting Google Chrome to work is 2017. Pi comes with Chromium not a stand-in for Google Chrome. I also think it would be pretty cool for his buddies to see what the old retired father-in-law does in his spare time
If Google Chrome worked on a Pi maybe that is the solution.
I can watch the ESPN Channel from my Bell Satellite television on my Ubuntu Linux computer using Google Chrome. Then I got thinking, why not a networked Pi. I recently relocated, so all my adaptors and cables went to good will or the dump. She is inviting a bunch of friends over to celebrate her husbands 30 birthday. My daughter has asked me to display the Vancouver Canucks game on a giant TV screen in her back yard. My objective to run Bell Satellite television. I'm hoping to use a Pi3B+ to run google chrome. Can anyone share their experience running Google Chrome on a Raspberry Pi? By experience I mean: How you did it? What is it's performance? Would you do it for your mother? I figure if it is acceptable for a mother then it is prime time
